Hi there

Many of you already know about this, but OcUK and myself is now proud to announce that the worlds only reference built 970 is now in stock at OcUK:

OcUK GeForce GTX 970 "NVIDIA 970 Cooler" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **WorldWide Exclusive** @ £319.99 inc VAT

This very special NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 is the only one of its kind designed by our in-house VGA Guru Gibbo making this the worlds ONLY genuine reference 970 available in the world. Gibbo's design request were very specific, genuine NVIDIA 970 cooler, yes the crazy expensive one just like the 980 cooler and a NVIDIA BGA Board using all original NVIDIA components with absolute zero cost down in the design.

Infact Gibbo improved the design by changing the containers in which the inductors are located for better quality items to help reduce and eliminate any possibility of coil whine. We also instruct our factory to only build these cards with Samsung memory. So why buy this over any other 970, well it is most likely the quietest whilst under load (gaming) due to having the NVIDIA cooler and any chances of coil whine have being pretty much eliminated with the design changes Gibbo has had implemented.

So this card is ideal for those seeking as little noise as possible and the other major advantage is the NVIDIA cooler which offers much better cooling performance in smaller enclosures or when running in 2-way or 3-way SLI.

Finally of course this card is perfect for when Half Life 3 is finally released at somepoint in the fuiture and of course the latest GTA V game which is now confirmed!

The GTX 980 is the worlds fastest GPU and the GTX 970 offers the most advanced performance in its class. Each delivers 2x the performance of previous-generation card, bringing new gaming experiences to virtual reality, and ultra resolution 4k displays.

Enable the detail of 4k monitors, on a 1080P display. DSR produces smoother images by rendering a game at a high resolution, then downscaling it to the native resolution of the display using advanced filtering.

GeForce GTX 980 and 970 cards support tear-free, super-fast NVIDIA G-Sync monitor display technology including 4k. Together, these technologies provide the most immersive and competitive gaming experiences possible.

We have designed this card based soley on build quality with no cost down, hence it uses a 980 PCB and genuine NVIDIA 980 cooler. Even though were not marketing this as an overclocking card the one I took from stock was rather impressive hitting 1540MHz core maximum on stock voltage (more voltage had no effect) and a memory overclock of 8400MHz. We've set the BIOS limit at 106% TDP limit, as once again we have not designed them for overclocking.

COMING SOON!!

If overclocking is more your thing then I have designed a card more specifically for this task for people who like to overclock on air we have the OcUK Infinity Black Edition, it shall be one of the fastest out of the box 970's on the market with Boost speeds of 1400MHz out of the box and it is one of the best looking 970's, check these pictures:

So what did I change as you will notice it is the Galax EX OC Black Edition:
 • Cooler shroud from grey to black
 • Heatsink and heatpipes are now nickel plated
 • OI Plate is nickel plated
 • Inductors are in 980 containers and glue used as can be seen in picture
 • Out of box Boost speed of 1329-1410MHz
 • Black backplate which will have Infinity branding on it

I am proud to say that OcUK probably has a pair of the finest cards on the market right now with these and two very nice exclusives. We've focused on build quality, looks and reducing noise levels to an absolute minimum with coil whine being our main focus. For those thinking damn those are expensive, well we already offer lower priced options from the likes of Palit, Inno3D and Galax. :)

Excellent looking card there, Gibbo.

What will the price be on this (the Galax)?

If Galax defines their HOF series is the highest rank among their products then I don't see the reason for that boost clock though.

Its not a Galax card, its a card built by Galax for OcUK, they will not offer this product, only OcUK and Caseking will exclusively sell this product.

Let me make it very clear, this card is my baby, the design, coil whine reduction techniques are all my ideas and done at my request.

Expect the price region to be around £320ish. :)

When will it be available? Are we talking next week or so?

 as **** m8 :D

I am personally taking this to mean that we aren't going to see any new flagship AMD cards for at least 5 months :p

If I didn't already have a pair of the MSI GTX970s I'd have been all over the OcUK 970 reference cooler versions. Should be great for SLI setups.

Maybe a cheeky 8GB version? ;)

Surprised 8Pack didn't have any input in to these or there is no 8 Pack branding used.

Are you going to let 8Pack get his hands on these?

8 Pack has no interest, anything he has input on will be at absolute top tier level, he does not want his name associated with mainstream.

He is just a big snob! :D
