<<< WORLDWIDE EXCLUSIVES: THE ONLY NVIDIA 970 REFERENCE & COMING SOON INFINITY OcUK BLACK EDITION 9

Would love to see this benchmarked against a normal 970 and 980

Out of the box it scores quite low as there is no OC applied, so it is at NVIDIA reference speeds of 1178MHz boost, though they actually boost to around 1250-1300MHz in use due to the quality of the components and very good cooling of the entire card.

Remember the NVIDIA cooler also cools the VRM's traditionally better than other coolers as the cooler is in contact with the entire PCB.

Overclocking wise even though it is not designed for overclocking it fairs easily with the best with 1450-1550MHz core region and 7800-8400MHz memory. :)

Am I right in saying though that you got those speeds with the REFERENCE 970 you've just got? What makes this black version stand out? Other than the look of course... which is very nice I hasten to add. :)

What would that (Galax) 970 run like in 3-Way SLI? If one was to have a case like the Corsair Carbide Air 540. Any ideas on temps? It looks sexy :)

NVIDIA reference card is at NVIDIA reference speeds. :)

My black edition is one of the fastest out of the box cards on the market.

NVIDIA reference is 1178MHz boost!

My black edition out the box is 1329-1410MHz boost.

My black edition also has everything nickel plated. :)

how quiet is your BE though? No good going like the clappers if it sounds like it too.

Hows the OcUK Infinity Black Edition 970 coming along Gibbo?

Do you still plan on releasing it this Friday (28th?). If so, I'll be making the decision whether to buy that or the Galax 970 HOF this weekend :D

Am I right in thinking your Infinity Black Edition 970 will be quicker out the box compared to the Galax 970 HOF? Noise levels on both cards will be a deciding factor too after out the box clock speeds.

Gibbo, do your upgrades completely and utter eliminate coil whine?

Yes on a decent PSU on our Infinity Edition card which launches tomorrow at 12:01 and if on the off chance there is any coil whine even if slight we will take it back. :)

Now that is the kind of retailer promise I like to see :)

SuperFlower 430W fanless recommended for one of these 970s? no OCing and 65W CPU planned...

Well I currently have a Corsair AX1200i. I take it that's considered good enough? Also, I was referring to the reference models of yours, no the Infinity variant.

Well we actually think that is a poor PSU but in the grand scheme of things it should be very good but both myself and 8 Pack personal opinion is that it is a poor PSU but we are both very picky. :D
