I don't know of one old person who has a smart phone, actually I have never seen an old person with one, period. Sure there might be loads out there but it's rare. I'm pretty certain most old people want a cheap phone that works with none of the gimmicks.
What I'm saying is that there are many many more young people with these more expensive smart phones than older people, therefore increasing the chances of them being mugged over an old person.
Old people are mugged for their money not for their smart phones.
what's your definition of old?
My dad is in his early 50s and has a HTC desire, my mother mid 50s with a wildfire. At work we have people in late 50s early 60s with wildfires and desires for business email and get on with them fine.
There are certain places in Bristol I would rather avoid having anything valuable on me, but most of the places I would have no problems (touch wood!).
