worst video games you have played

Budokan on the MegaDrive. I'm sure I've played worse, I just can't think of any at the minute, and buying a terrible game back in those days was devastating. I didn't get many, most were rentals.

The controls were SO unresponsive.

Most recently would be Halo 4, what happened!

Tried dragons dogma, utter poop! Really not aged well at all

And this gen, infamous second son so far. Just dull boring world with terrible characters that i think the devs reckon people believe are 'cool' .. No

Played tons mate
But i think a lot of it now, for me is down to cost, hype and expectation
Years ago i would happily play a game even if it was naff etc because it was something to do and i got it off a carboot for next to nothing or it wasnt my money, so my memory of it goes..
But now, the sheer hype of games and having a mortgage, daughter etc makes me analysis a game like i didnt before.
I pumped like £65 into b4 and it was *****
So thats why i said that and also watchdogs, i could tell it would be rubbish, but still bought it

As an OT confession I've pumped £130 into BF4.

Tunnel B1 on the PS1 it was an absolute turd of a game.

Recently tried playing Arkham Origins with keyboard and mouse and it was just awful, but B1 holds the record for the worst game.

Yeah I suppose that makes some sense, for me though when you load up watchdogs, there's a well put together game there, fair enough not to the point we were promised.

Superman 64 right here

Linked as it has swearing. But yeah, When you bought the game back on release and found out the annoyances for yourself, its almost funny to find videos like this one :D

If we're talking about the level of hype behind a game, surely someone remembers 'Haze' for PS3? This was being called the 'Halo Killer' before release and it... just wasn't. I personally thought it was okay but I'm struggling to think of a game that had so much momentum before releasing and then going off the rails so quickly.

The first one or the second one? First game was great, I really enjoyed it but the sequel really was poor and full of glitches.

I'm talking about the second one. EA had nothing to do with the development of the first one. Which was an awesome game. It had potential to turn into a decent franchise.... Then EA acquired the developer or ended up developing the second game themselves. And you just knew (but secretly hoped the game wouldn't suck) the game would suck... And suck it did.

Oh I have another for you all. What did you think of Army of Two?

Decent concept... Poorly executed. It was such a pain to start games with friends online.

Final Fantasy XIII for me.

In isolation I wouldn't have been that bothered, but it was for the fact I waited years for this game. It promised us so much, and was the first Final Fantasy on the new generation of consoles.

It was utter garbage and dragged the name of the franchise through the mud. I was really expecting it to be a return to the old classics.

To be fair to the game if I hadn't have set my expectations at, like, Final Fantasy X level, it would have probably been 'okay'.

Other than that I don't really tend to play bad games. I read up on games prior to buying them and try to demo a game if I can.

Some people here haven't played a bad game by the sounds of things.

Rise of the Robots was really bad because the moves were pretty much impossible to pull off, the characters were absurdly unbalanced and player 1 could only pick the crappiest robot of them all. It was also odd that each stage was tied to player 2's robot.

I remember being the green robot, the crusher. Mash z for victory :D

I thought pretty much all PS1 games had zero charm to them. I could never, ever, ever understand the appeal of Crash Bandicoot, which outsold Super Mario 64 !!!

How could I forget this? Online was laughable with it's rubber banding, 1 shot deaths etc... Uninstalled and won't be putting any more money into the franchise.

must have been launch issues surely? I've just been playing BF4 on xbox one, and have no such issues, it's a fantastic game.

I'm talking PC here, sound loop crashing, dropping to desktop and unforgivable inconsistencies in the MP. Oh how I loved getting killed by a player that was already dead or engaging an enemy only to be dropped with one shot. Woeful that such a high profile game can be released in such a state.

Gave up waiting for a fix, won't be putting any more of my money into the series.

Have to agree with Rise of the Robots. I remember it being hyped to high heavens but it was utter pants!
