Worth £6 for the 6core over the 4 core Phenom 2?

Hexcore; upto three cores then its 3.3ghz vs 3.4. as soon as it gets to four cores it will probably support six so the hex is better.

iirc turbo boost turns itself off if you OC.

Depends on board and BIOS one of my crosshair iv bioses left it on :s
Well im blaming the BIOS, wasnt me not checking honest.

Dave.

did it actually boost even with the option off? its suposed to turn itself off if the chip is drawing XXX power

With the option off, no I left it on and it didnt disable anything, the multi was still set at auto though as was trying to play around with CnQ at the same time as a clock. 4.5Ghz aint gonna pull it or the board over its TDP specs anyway, and my chip reaches 4 on just a tad over 1.4v.(If thats what you mean by saying if it reaches xxx power, if not am not sure what you mean.)
Am not sure if my latest BIOS will let me but will give it a go in a sec and let you know.

Dave.

Yep can still OC and leave Turbocore on here on this board (Bios Version 1102). Only problem doing it is it still adds 0.175 volts on whilst it does it too. So taking it easy at 3.9 but still jumps to 4.4 when loaded on 1 core and ups the volts. Now wether or not this is a oddism off this board i dunno, as never noticed before on my others.
