Worth an update or is it a waste?

It seems that my case turns out to be bigger, the only downpoints are that the psu is not at the bottom and all the fans are 80mm, not 120. But mine will better for intake of air from the front, since the grill is much bigger. It obviously would be a better option (the one you recommended), but with all the fans it will be approximately equal to the price of the cpu, and it seems to me that the improvement would not be worth the price, but thats imho.

I am just a little concerned about the small grill in front, is it worth putting both coolers in there?
And if I am going to install Gelid Tranquillo is there going to be enough for both coolers on the side panel?

The Gelid Tranquillo will fit that Merc Alpha case, as you have worked out, if you are going to buy a bunch of fans at £5 a pop, then a better case which includes more fans as standard will be a sensible option instead.

Q: What is the maximum clearance for CPU coolers on Merc Alpha and Merc Beta?
Merc Alpha and Merc Beta maximum CPU cooler height = 165mm

This case - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-ZA&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=736 - includes four fans, fan controller and a temperature probe with digital display.

Brilliant option, even if I am going to get 3 more fans for it 10 pounds each, it will be only 3 quid more expensive than bitfenix, but way nicer, thanks.

Posting screen of my task manager performance task, checked all the proceses in resource monitor and haven't noticed any processes eating a lot of CPU performance and when it spikes, nothing realy increases the use of CPU, the highest i've got is wmiprvse.exe at 12-14% and the next 4 processes are at about 4% and the rest are smaller than 2%, that explains ~30-40% of usage, but where are the spikes from?

Problem was resolved by disabling relevantknoledge from startup of services.

Last question, if I want to split the following list in 2 or 3 separate purchases, what would be the best order of buying them? The sum I am looking to spent per one purchase is about 100 pounds. Its just I dont want to get CPU for instance without CPU cooler and not be able to use it, because it overheats.
Q6600 for CPU
OcUK HD 6850 OC 1024MB
XFX Pro 450W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler
Zalman Z9 Plus Tower Case with Fan Controller
As well as few additional fans for extra cooling.

I hope I did not forget anything.

P.S. It would be nice if the first purchase would give me the biggest boost to my performance (but again, so it wont be damaged due to overheating).

Went through ebay in terms of GPU and found that: VTX3D 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6850 X-Edition GDDR5 Graphics Card, which is the same price as the one mentioned above, but shouldnt that one be more productive?

Im just going to put this out there.

Wow is HEAVILY CPU bound.

My 970 @ 4Ghz Struggles with a 560ti 448. (when i say struggle, some stutter @1080p full ultra)

Get a decent CPU first, you will see a bigger improvement buying a quad core cpu than you would buying a New Graphics Card.

Do the Graphics Card at a later date.

Used software to monitor usage of GPU and CPU. First image is on recommended settings and second one is on ultra (recommended lagged a bit, ultra laged a lot and I tried to stress as much as possible)
Recommended (Medium)

Ultra

As you can see CPU usage is at 57% and 59% so the difference isnt that big, but maximum usage of GPU went up from 41% to 99%. Does that mean I am GPU bound or it shows nothing?

If it's mainly wow, I wouldn't bother with a quad core. A dual core wolfdale for under £20 will easily overclock on your board to 3.6-3.8 (at least my e5300 did). And as has probably been mentioned, it's very wise to invest in a quality PSU, even if it's overkill for your current machine, it can be used in all future builds.

Ok, but I wanted to know which one (CPU or Graphics card) does not allow me to run the game smoothly? I know that both of them arent good enough, but atleast which one is worse?

Thank you very much for warm welcome :)

At this particular moment I have around 100-150 spare quid. As I was thinking to gradually update every component, but the problem is that if I will update my CPU now, and will have to update motherboard later, then I, again, will have to updage CPU, so new processor will only work as a temporary solution.

You're better off saving the cash and buying everything at once rather than having stuff lying around depreciating in value and not in use.

PC components are dropping in price and being replaced with better kit all the time. So save up an amount you are happy spending, then spec something up.

I'm on a q660 and did have a 8600GT on WoW, can say upgrading your GPU will prob benefit you a lot more. I mean I was struggling to play BF3 with a 8600 so I bought a GTX 460 and it's running fine on max resolution without problems. As for WoW there's been an improvement definitely.

Try remove vsync, aa and turn on dx11 on your wow client tho it might help if you have them on as they can give you some FPS lag.

What is aa?

P.S. as soon as turned dx11, fps improved greatly! Even in crowded places I have at least 5-6 fps, whereas before it was 1-2 lol thank you
