Worth getting a 5D MKII now ?

I'm thinking of getting a 5D MKII this week but not sure if it's a good time to do so. I was thinking of getting a 5D quite some time ago and never did, which got me thinking, the 5D has been out for quite a while, is there a new model on the way soon or is one of the other models a better option now ?

P.S. It has to be a canon as I already have a small collection of lenses.

Thanks for the replies so far, I should have mentioned that I do want the video, I'm not sure how much I'll use it but I want to have a play

Just to update my position here : I've decided to got for the 5D MKII and will be getting it tomorrow

I was hoping to get it with the EF 24-105mm f4 L IS USM bundle but everywhere seems to be sold out of them. I'll probably pick up the lens seperatly and found it for £739.

Has anyone bought from "Kerso" before? The name rings a bell and the price seems good but not sure if it's UK stuff he sells or not.

I bought the 5D MKII today, I've only had a quick play with it in the house but really impressed. The image quality is amazing, the 21 megapixel really does make a difference from what I'm used to. Can't wait to have a proper test tomorrow

I bought some if the cheap plastic protectors for the camera, the type you put on phones, does the job fine but I will get a glass version to try at some point.

To be honest yes, the 5D MKII was a very good purchase for me, it's managed to relight my photography interests and I'm very, very pleased with the results so I don't regret for one second not waiting.

As for the MKIII, will I get one.. maybe.. but at the moment the MKII does everything I want (and probably a lot more) so I'm in no rush to change anything at the moment. My money will go on some extra Lenses and other kit which will be of more use. I'm off to the FOI show tomorrow where I'll be getting a 70-200 2.8L IS and a Panoramic head for my tripod plus some other bits I have no doubt.
