Hey guys,, I have a 8086k running at 4.9ghz, but Im using my old thermalright true black 120 cooler, The cooler does a pritty good job at keeping the temps in the 70's when running burntest. But Im wondering is it worth buying a better cooler to overclock the cpu higher?

Heat output on stress tests is always higher than real world use. Stick with your True Black and push to 5GHz. If your temps stay under 85 then I'd say you were fine for actual use, just see what your temps are like in normal activity.

4900Mhz to 5000Mhz is a 2.04% increase. That is the absolute maximum you have to gain in any CPU limited scenario. Is 2% worth ~£50 to you?

Ummm, Yeah I might leave it as it is and its not like I really work the cpu that hard nowadays, because with being disabled games are getting harder and harder to play, with needing to have fast reactions and wotnot.

You might be thinking why have such a powerful pc,, well I dont really know, I love my computers I guess.
