Worth going SB from q6600?

got a Q6600 2.4 , 8GB DDR2, 9500GT & 500GB HD and in limbo like some in here.

Was thinking to upgrade graphics to GTX 460 or go with a new system.
Just think id only get £150 max for my whole system if i sold it after the cost of shipping it to someone but if i waited for end of this year to get 8 core my system would sell for nothing.
