Worth it to get a < £150 filler card?

I paid £135 for a 980Ti off here around 6 weeks ago.
It is far faster than a 1060 and is the same speed as the 1160Ti.

As far as GPU value goes, I can't see anything else being better at the moment.

It Just Works and RTX cards in the same breath? Surely you jest? Anyone taken in by Ray Tracing and DLSS as it is now has been sold a pipe a dream

I'm sure Nvidia will always sell more due to their marketing, it doesn't make them the best buy.

Andrew has made sound advice along the thread. Unfortunately most wont sway AMD due to stubbornness or just brand stupidity. With RTX and gimmicks beside the 'it just works' line, you check the forum and miles more faulty nvidia cards have been present compared to older generations -so what gives?

With old CPU and system core there, its gonna hold you back at some point whichever GPU you choose. I would plan a new budget and buy the lot in a few months time when the battlefield has settled, reviews are done and get the sweet spot hardware.
