Worth waiting for 5G?

People who are actually on 5G how are you finding it it and what network are you on? I live in Central London and will preorder an s20 later most likely, so I imagine theres some benefit.
Will get the phone outright and am out of contract on EE atm with a sim only deal.

I have to say, They (EE) are hilariously uncompetitive with Vodafone in terms of price for the SIM only unlimited 5G deals, I may consider moving away from them and I've been with Orange/EE since about 2003...

Three turning on their 5G end of this month.
No extra cost.

EE are overpriced but they have the best coverage and really good customer support too

Vodafone gets rated awfully for customer service every year.

I use my mobile phone for all web browsing when I am at home and I certainly enjoy better speeds but 5G probably won't be rolled out where I live for a significant length of time. It would be nice to be able to get more download speed though. I'm not sure whether my next phone will be 5G or not. I'm pretty happy with my OnePlus 6. As long as it gets Android 11 at the end of the year I don't see why I can't just wait until the OnePlus 9.

I'm on 5G with Vodafone (bought my Note 10+ 5G outright) so SIM only - Unlimited Data at the top speeds with Spotify for £27 a month (12 month contract).
When I get 5G its brilliant, very very fast and massively better than 4G; that said at home (Edinburgh) its very spotty; I did get really good coverage in London (Finsbury) and it was a godsend allowing me to download some large ISO files that the office network would have taken hours on.
Overall though; I like to try new things and its not really cost me any extra (extra £100 for the 5G phone) but I don't think I'd pay extra at this point for it.

The Qualcomm 865 supports 5G natively so any phone with that chipset will be 5G. I guess over the next year or two all phones will be 5G. Not worth paying a price premium for it now unless you are sure you can get 5G signal right now.

4G on 3 and Vodafone have been pretty so so for me in London so have litte faith in 5G.

Constant coverage > speed any day.
