worth waiting till jan sales to get a plasma?

Hi. As question I am wondering if plasmas will come down in price much in the sales as I am keen to get a 50" plasma for xmas present. I've seen some great prices on samsung panels at around £500 or 450 after cash back. Will the sales see a significant price drop to warerant the wait ? Catch 22 almost as it would also be nice 2 watch xmas tv on a new plasma!

I don't think they will drop much myself. The vat cut will stop some retailers from dropping their prices further. There are quite a few excellent sets available now for really good prices. Dunno if they are up to 50" though.
