can someone give me some tips and thoughts on this. i liked it when i took it but now seeing others pics i feel its a bit..... boring

its unedited right off the camera

im only learning and only 3rd time ive taken the cam out for a walk lol. would like to know good things (if any) bad things etc anything. :D

You got an idea but a few things that's "wrong".

The photo is not level, it is also a bit flat in terms of the levels, and also a touch underexposed. The content is a bit cluttered too, the bench in front is distracting and you bin bag to the right can do with cropping out as it's not part of the story of the photo. Then there's the main subject being centered, in this instance, its best to have them 1/3 either side. It could also use a shallower depth of field, the background in the distance is still in focus and it is rather distracting.

Very quick and dirty edit/crop, levels need adjusting but this gets rid of the bin bag and moves the couple off centre:-

wow thats great. thanks for all the thoughts and ideas. i really appreciate it

what do you all use for editing?

i have got cs4 just need to learn how to use it lol. ill see what i can do a min and post back :)

Try installing something errr... something didnt allow me to edit RAWs from a 1DS MKIII but I installed something which allowed me to do so..

2 secs I'll check :p
