Would this card run games at 1920/1200

A friend has asked me to build him a pc and has pick this gpu.
1GB XFX Radeon HD4650, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), Mem 1000MHz GDDR2, GPU 600MHz,
Would that play games?

It will probably struggle a little on high settings with AA/AF on high on recent games. What games specifically are we talking about?

A 4870/4890 or GTX260 would be better at that resolution but they are around the £100-£130 mark

+1 to the 4890 for 1920x1200. You can pick one up for about £130 if your budget allows. If you can't afford a 4890 then getting a 4870 or GTX260 would be your second best bet.

I think the 4650 will struggle with newer games especially with all the bells and whistles on.

I recently ran a 4670 on a monitor at 1680 x 1050 and I would say that was about the limit for decent fps in the newest games.

A 4650 would really start to struggle at anything higher.
