My grandads the same, gives me 20 quid a week and refuses to stop it even though im 19 next month lol!

Half the time if I see him about town he'll give me another 20 quid lol

He's the nicest man ever though, my friends were walking past his house one day and he was washing his car and asked them if they needed a lift anywhere, are they alright for money etc etc. (And yes he did know them, he wasnt just asking some random kids if they wanted a lift lol )

my grandad did that, up until I was 30! he only stopped because he died, he always told me I'd have more fun with the cash than he would, I always made a point of saving the notes and actually buying meaningful things with the money and not just feed it into a fruitie, bookie or barstaff!
