would this psu run 2 4780 x2?

ive bin out thwe loop for a while, why is it everyone is buying coolmasters all of a sudden? i see seasonic no longer do my 600w psu either, tahst a shame. Is a gooden.

No way.

2 4870x2's are going to need 600W, then an overvolted quad (q9550 or i7 etc) worthy of powering 4 top gpu's is going to need 150W, before mobo requirements.

I agree, a pair of x2 4870's with the rest of the system would be far too much for this unit.

It's only rated at 624W cont @ 40C wheras a Corsair HX620W is rated at 600W @ 50C.

With two beefy cards and the rest of the system components temperatures will rise.

Quad 4870's consume 700W at load

If you really think you'll go quad, look at 1KW supplies since an ideal PSU should only be loaded at 60-70%

Just got a wattage meter thing for my system and my 4Ghz i7 and single 4870x2 have hit nearly 600 watts while under load. I'm about to add another one too so will let you know what it does then.
