Would you buy an M5 with no service History?

It takes about 1.5 hours with the right software and plugs to do every recorded place on a BMW including the key.

See. If you're going to spend an hour and a half doing things properly why wouldn't you spend a little extra of time and effort knocking up some fake invoices, 'borrowing' a service stamp, etc. Surely no history hurts the value on a car like this more than high mileage?

Depends on many many things...

Whats "stupidly cheap", what sort is it? is it a nail?

£5k is a bit too cheap imo for an M5, any of them, service history or not, the one Fox mentions would be a risk, but the one I'd try to take.....

So ultimately, in answer to the OP, no!

It's not 'that hard' to recode a car to display whatever milage you fancy, VW for example store the data in the dash not in the cars ecu, i expect many other cars are the same, the dash is paired with the ecu and cars security system via a keycode, once you get this code you can either change the clocks out for another set or change the data on the existing clocks.

How can you all say "no" off hand without knowing what the price is?

Everyone on here would buy it, if the price was right, it just depends on how much risk you want to take on...

The price is £5k.

Which was pretty easy to guess anyway hence my reply. It was never going to be 1500 quid was it?

If the one owner le mans blue one with 170k went for £7k then I think 5k is everything but cheap.

I know I'd rather pay the extra £2k to start with.
