Thanks for the results guys. I should have probably also said that as well as the style of the one I originally posted as well as the one I found via Groens link, I like the darker colours.

IE - Blacks, greys and also whites.

I would have thought M&S's North Coast range do what you want and if your local store is sold out as you suggest then buy online. Their checked shirts in that range are all a similar fit and finish so if you know it suits you just pick the colour check you want on the Internet.

Slightly related.. where's good to get good quality, inexpensive polo shirts? Ones that don't shrink in the wash like cheap ones from the high street do. Usually I get them in the states but I could do with chucking some out and getting new ones and I won't be over there for 6 months.

Inexpensive polos are not worth it. Get some ralph lauren ones, so much more comfy.

I struggle to find decent ones over here, which is why I ask. In the states the cheaper stuff from department stores is better quality. Just thought I'd ask in case someone had seen a good place here.

I bought three of their country shirts, what I like about them is they have different sleeve lengths. At that time they were £75 for the three, they now seem to be a bit cheaper at £24 each.
