Would you play a game on 15-30 fps

40 min and 50 average is what I "need" for a game to be playable. Anything less than that and it really puts me off my stride. I've got terrible eyesight as well.

Playing WOW with 20-25 fps in one particular zone. Feels like playing in treacle. I can play but its not very enjoyable.

Your probably doing well coz your that guy warping 20feet every time you move :P

Couldn't play on that kinda fps myself, playing black ops atm and it gets choppy and feels like 20fps after a couple of maps and my KDR goes from 4+:1 to ~0.7:1. Guess it depends on your playing style tho, if your camping you don't really need that much fps.

Yes, happily. I was playing L4D2 on my laptop at 20fps yesterday, whilst slightly trickier you get used to it and compensate. In a way, I like to think it makes me a better gamer, so when I do get a better PC, I'll be able to shoot people much more easily.

I remember playing UT2k4 at 10fps, that was quite challenging :p (but I still did it for a year).

15 is way too low, above 30 FPS usually feels properly playable but it depends on the game - Crysis is playable at mid-20s. Anything over 60FPS is supposed to be a waste isn't it? Can anyone really can tell the difference between say 80 FPS and 90 FPS?

I'm an absolute FPS whore, hence 120hz screen which I use as my minimum value :p

But then again I only really play CS:S and then still use an fps cfg to make everything clear and run ultra smooth.

The nature of some games in fps requirement is different to other ones.

It is all dependent on the type of game for an FPS I would say no way, but dont Fraps actually kill frame rates? Or is that only when it is recording stuff?
