I must say after reading this thread I am hugely disappointed, my reasons are thus:

1) OP posted another women thread, fair enough.
2) OP has audacity to actually reply and read the advice given.
3) OP has the gaul to do something about it IRL!
4) OP decides, as if the above isn't enough, to actually update his own thread with reports of success and offer advice to forum members in similar situations.

I don't know who you are OP, where you live or what you do, but you don't belong on OcUK

My wife was a good mate for a few years before anything happened between us. Her best mate (a man) is one of my best mates and originally introduced us, as such I guess there was risk in that our social circle was very much shared. We've been together 15 years and have sprogs etc!

Hope it works out well.
