Would you trust Kwik-Fit for an MOT?

Ok, need to have it done to the Cinqy sometime next week. Now I usually only trust myself when it comes to servicing and repairs but due to MOT's being a legal requirement I need to get it done 3rd party.
The Kwik-Fit near Epsom have been good to my father in the past even doing a couple of minor things to his car without charge. I mean it would be hard for them to take me for a ride as I’ve renewed almost every major component on the car last year so I would know if they where having me on.

Well they would have a hard time convincing me as my exhaust looked fine and pretty rust free when I was busy with my engine swap and the callipers, brakes and pads were brand new (Punto GT items baby :D ) and fitted 2000 miles ago so they would have to be pretty good with the bs ;) .

Good Evening.

Personally my experience with Kwik Fit is generally bad. I have heard them lying through their teeth on the phone, I have seen monkeys working on my car.

Stay away.

Best wishes

Andrew

Good day!

i occasionaly use them when i can blag a free fixing of my exhaust "oh.. its just making a noise.. can you weld it or something?" :D

I trust most of my work to a specialist :)

WHY HELLO THAR!

I took my Civic to Portchester Kwik Fit for an MOT, the new MOT system takes ages as the guys have to put it through on the www now but my car failed on nothing other than 2 missing side lights nn the headlamp cluster which were not there when I bought the car off my uncle last year and he had an MOT done on it right before handing it over to me! which tells me that garages in Stoke tend to forget some checks!

My exhaust did fail a few weeks later as I do push the car sometimes, the silencer had crumbled and the steel wool was blocking the passage so I just got a new backbox fitted then jobs a good one.

I had the exhaust changed at Kwik Fit too.

The Portchester Kwik Fit were like my local garage, they were informative and didn't mess about. Although they didn't share the same convo as my regular garage but it was the only closest garage to work that I had time to get to during lunch.

Either way I was very happy with the service, the price and the quality of the job/parts they did. They also spotted a cam area oil leak that another garage left during cambelt change during the MOT at kwik fit. I got this fixed quick at my local.

Yours Truly,

Rob.

Good Evening

I can assure you that I did not, if one would kindly check his source. They would see that the quoted material has been tampered with by a vulgar individual.

Watching you via my eye-glass.

Stick to Portchester then mate, and don't ever go near the one in Havant.

Took me four hours just to get tyre changed by the monkey's as they couldn't understand that it was lease vehicle and needed to be paid for by Lex, not myself or my company. Whilst I was there I overheard them laughing about changing someone's full exhaust system when it was only the back box that needed work

Waterlooville have always been on the mark for me though, so I guess it's swings and roundabouts.

Indeed this is the case. It's not kwik fit that's the problem but the monkeys in the offending garage that are! - the managers at both the gosport and portchester KF are sound guys :p
