Would you use an LCD for image editing?

I sometimes use my calibrated (Spyder2) laptop to process images and the screen brightness is still noticeably higher than the final prints. I always try and use my CRT monitor if I can.

It is true that you can’t tell the colour accuracy unless you have the photo side-by-side with the image on the screen so most people will never know. Skin tones are critical though and with an uncalibrated monitor or LCD you do risk getting them wrong.
