WTB: A New Camera

Hi there (sorry for all the questions :) )

Have you had a scan through this thread?

What do you want from your camera? e.g.

- Do you want it to be really slim/discrete so you can slip it in your pocket when you're out socialising with friends, partying, clubbing etc.?
- Do you want this to be a starter camera with a view to learning photography techniques and improving your knowledge?
- Do you want it to be as simple as possible to operate, with no real intention of learning to work a camera manually? (i.e. simple point and shoot)
- Do you think you have a steady hand?
- What do you think you'll be shooting mainly? (e.g. outdoor sports, wildlife, architecture, random items for selling at auction/indoor subjects etc.)

EDIT: One more - Do you think you'll be ordering large prints frequently e.g. A3+?

Okay, obviously i'm after a P&S cam

Will be used for general photo taking (nights out included), going on holiday soon aswell.

Obviously i'd love to get more knowledge and a better technique.

My hand is pretty steady i'd say but some anti-shake couldn't hurt.

Have a look at the Canon Digital IXUS 60 or Canon PowerShot A630, both look to be fairly capable cameras and within your budget.
