Bah, forgot what the anti virus was called (which one do you have?) but some anti virus company sent out a batch of faulty updates which disabled popular programs like word etc.

Maybe that's what has happened? Or haven't you updated recently?

Sorry, yeah, I lost my calculator somehow from the accessories drop-down menu, so I posted here to ask how to restore it.

Discovered calc.exe in the windows folder and dragged it to my start menu. All fixed (for me).
