WTF Have they done to Black Jacks

I remember Mars bars for 20p and Twix for 18p.

Me too, those days are long gone. In the canteen at work these things keep going up a couple of pence every month. It's only a matter of time before I will be handing over a pound for a Yorkie soon, they are already at 72p.

Oh, and:

Black Jacks >> Fruit Salads.

Anyone remember these? Is there anything similar sold today? Mighty imps are crap in comparison :(.

Are you 90?

OP - new recipe made with no nasty colourings or additives apparently.

When will they learn, it's the nasty rubbish in it that tastes so good. The day I buy sweets for their healthy properties is the day I give up buying sweets.

I remember them, in fact I've still got the tin somewhere. None of the sweets are left although from what I remember of them I'd be surprised if any still existing aren't still as edible now as they were then... :D

//edit and Fruit Salads were clearly better than Black Jacks, both pale into insignificance compared to Wham Bars and even that is a poor substitute for an Irn Bru bar.

Never has a truer word been spoken :p

Wait right there... While wham bars may well have been the most awesome creation ever in theory. I rarely bought them for one very good reason...

It was IMPOSSIBLE to fully remove the wrapper.

You'd pull it off and at least 1/4 of the wrapper would stick to the bar, so you'd typically have to eat some of the wrapper in order to get your wham fix.

Edit: Refresher bars often suffered from this predicament too. :(
