I've heard the official one to attempt number one this year is Surfin' Bird by The Trashmen.

Why would they? It's badly made software, you're overcharged for music you can get cheaper and better quality from other places and you're funding a corrupt corporate giant.

I pay £1.40 for 4 pints of milk at my local Kwik-E-Mart, despite the fact that I could walk 10min there and 10min back to get it for £1. Why don't I? Convenience. I don't really see that buying the odd tune off iTunes is going to contribute to the crash of social morals, especially when I stilll travel to my local music shop to buy hard copies of albums. I sense an Apple hater here, which is a shame, because there's many more things wrong with Apple than their corporate image and many things in the world more worthy of campaigning against than Jobs taking advantage of the tabloid-reading imbeciles plaguing the streets of every developed Western nation.

Why would anyone buy x factor tunes off of itunes any way.... in fact why would anyone buy anything off of itunes???

And what's so much more convenient about using iTunes over say... 7Digital?
X-factor, ffs sake i avoid the **** drivel that come from TVs when this show, half cocked, no brained, with the artistic merit of a five year old's daubings is showing. But guess what once again someone shatters my ignorant bliss of the existence of this moronic show.
At least there is one consolation, for you making me aware of such crassness, the likelihood i wont have to hear this odious music with the substance of a fart, wafting from some builders radio as i get along with my daily life.
Thanks. Very few music that's at the top of the charts is actually good music. But The Dualers are really good I think
(I'm opening up a can of worms by saying that, I don't care)
I bought a copy of RATM last year, just because I thought it was a great concept. Still, I think my concept of the event was very different from other people's - I certainly don't intend to make another go of it this year. We made a point, time to move on. I'm a bit young (25) to be campaigning to preserve the integrity of the christmas #1.

wait wait wait. digital downloads will not be a part of the xmas number 1 and that makes people think that xfactor wont win? I'd have thought the opposite. Aren't most people who buy the xfactor singles doing so in stores whereas the RATM song from last year was almost all digial buys?
not that i particularly care, i've never bought a xmas number 1 or an xfactor song or anything on itunes for that matter.

Performance tracks from this series of X Factor are not eligible for the official UK singles chart, despite being sold via iTunes.
My mistake, sorry guys. I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel for a second![]()

So Apple is corrupt, best take your evidence to the Yankie government then.
