X-Fi, Music, Gamer or the external XMod

Hi All,

I'm looking for a new sound card as my SB live is getting a bit long in the tooth, would anyone be able to give me some answers to the following:

1. Does the XtremeMusic OEM card sold here have the gold plated jacks or plastic ones? On my sb live two jacks are cracked from having guitars and such plugged in and out a bit too much, I get the feeling that the X-Fi cards I've seen with the gold components look a little more robust.

2. Can the front panel be bought seperately as an upgrade or do they only work on the Fatality/Elite versions?

3. What is the external XMod like?

The Xfi Music has gold jacks, you can buy the front panel separately, but it is quite hard to find you might have to try ebay, and pretty expensive, not sure about the xmod, but probably it isn't as good as an internal sound card.
