It's perfect in XP, but I've moved over to Vista and the only mare I'm having is my sound card. It's the X-Fi Fatal1ty and I'm using the drivers download from Creative's website. It sounds good tbh, but every now and then when listening to music I get a nasty hissing/scratching sounds, almost as if you're loosing FM reception for a second.

What drivers are you using? Also, is there a download somewhere of a ripped OEM disc as I'm sure the problem lies within the web release drivers.

Please help, I really want Vista on but if I can't find a solution then I'll be going back to XP.

Excellent. Downloading the driver and the Audio Console now. Fingers crossed as otherwise I'll be going back to XP. Never thought I'd say this but I'm very happy with Vista!

If you have a problem with no sound from your rear speakers, after installing the modded drivers read through the thread above, there is a fix :)

I do as a matter of fact. The rear sound is coming through the fronts. Not to matter, I'm doing a rebuild, my C: is 35 % fragmented and it's all in locked system files. I don't think Vista formatted the partition properly either as it still picks up the XP MBR for a split second at boot up.

Going to run XP SP2 install, fully format the drive, reboot, clear the MBR and then put Vista on again. Hopefully it will sort out my little niggles.
