Hi all, Iam new to the forum and I have an underlying problem that has been haunting me for ages. I joined the forum because of what i have read you all seem to have a sound (see what I did there) PC knowledge. I have a (X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro) and every time I go online to play a game e.g. Counter Strike on Steam, I get a loud high pitch screech coming out of my Creative T7900 7.1 surround speakers.
The the noise won't go away untill I go back to my default setting via the creative diagnosis. This only happens when I go online and is starting to get on my nerves as I want to play on Team fotress 2 in peace. Any help would be most appreciated. :eek:

What drivers are you using?
What operating system?
System specs?

Sorry, system specs are as on signature. As for the drivers I have just updated from ones on the creative website.

Better cut that sig down to 4 lines or you will be going on holiday .
