Hi,

I have read a lot about people having the VF900 with there x1900s and it not doing a good enough job. Now I just want to confirm that on an X1800 xt 512mb it will do a better job as these cards run a bit cooler anyway etc? I have overclocked the card a bit and the temp is rising quite a bit so am hoping the VF900 will solve this?

I was actually considering upgrading to a x1900 would this be worth it if i can sell my x1800 for 210-220?? Or should I just wait to see whats comming as I am able to game at 1920x1200 on my dell on all the games I have which are BF2, Oblivion, Farcry, COD2, CIV 4, X3 reunion and soon to be GRAW and they all have good fps but not all the eye candy. But will I be able to do this with GRAW as it seem it has some serious graphics in it.

Thanks

If you can get a good price for the x1800 then the x1900 would be a good upgrade for the resolution you play at, but im not sure what you'ld get for it now, 512mb x1800's are only £250 new, and the 256mb one is only £175, you might get a good price on the gay mind, probably be your best bet if you want a price around the one you quoted. :)

You may have some luck then. :)

I would go for the x1900, especially if you can get a good price for your x1800 as said, at that resolution the x1900 would be ideal, im on 1280x1024 with a TFT, and my x1800 does fine at that resolution, plays everything maxed out, even plays Oblivion at that res fine with 2xAA/16xAF+HDR on, and every slider maxed up, but as said if your x1800 is struggling at the resolution you play at then the x1900 would be ideal. :)
