X1950 PRO rattle

Also would like to know this, i get the same rattle on my HIS X1900XT. Its the fan that is causing it.
 
Interesting, i have a rattle with the Arctic Cooler i have fitted on my X850XT, sent it back to OcUk but they said there was now't wrong with it !!
Still rattles btw !!

Will try Blu-Tac.
Perhaps retailers may consider bundling a pack with new cards and/or coolers ??
 
I have the same rattle with my x1900xt!!!! Funny how HIS seem to say their new IceQ3 is supposed to be quieter than previous models!

Thing is i built a machine with a Sapphire x1950xt in it and it is a lot quieter than the HIS version :confused:

Just had to send my one back because of that fan rattle. The card started off fine, but got progressively worse.

Will order a sapphire once I get my refund.
 
my HIS X1650 pro has developed more of a grinding noise than a rattle now, its as if the fan has dropped down in its casing and grinds along the inside of the iceq thing. thats only after you've had it off for awhile and stuff, you just turn the pc off push it up a fair amount and then its ok. i reported this to ocuk and they've sent me an RMA number with it described as Faulty. if like pmbuzz ocuk say it doesnt make any noise im not quite sure what i'll do. probably try the bluetac
