My main OS HDD is partitioned, and each time I bootup iam asked to boot into either win7 or win7. Now Iam 99% sure that my current win7 RC is on my C drive and an older version(possibly the beta) is on my G drive(other half of the partition)

Now I want to free up some space and delete the win7 OS that iam not using, is there anyway I can tell which version is which? Also to save deleting it all-can I do a format, or will that format the whole HDD thus removing both OS's?

Formatting is done on per-partition basis.

Only thing to be wary of really is if you go for a format, make sure you aren't wiping out the boot information (it might be on the partition you end up nuking).

If what you have said is correct then I'd imagine you could get away with wiping the G: drive as the boot info will likely be on C:, I'd recommend doublechecking though.

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System Startup, click Edit and then you can see the boot options and partitions etc ... or browse to it on your root of c:\ but you will need to unhide protected system files and hidden folders etc in folder options

Just want to double check with you, can I just delete my older version of win7? G drive? Or can I right click it and format G-or would that format both the C and G drive?

Formatted G drive, but each time I boot I keep getting a dual boot message asking me to boot into windows7 or windows 7?!
