Looking to replace my ARVIE ( Asus Rampge VI Extreme ) as finding a case i like that fits the oversized EATX is becoming a major pain, My Alpha 550 has no room, My PC-011 Dynamic looked awful with it in and the cables bent and hanging over the Radiator fans.

So my question is, What's a nice board tha can handle a 7980xe at 4.6ghz and is ATX, Would like 3x NVME but if i have to i'll get a Dual M.2 PCI adapter instead.

I'm thinking the ROG Strix x299, as it's 2x M.2, So could PCI Adapter behind my GPU.

Or i sell up and go 9900k..

UK RMA and warranty - plus rep support on here

Better VRM - 12 phase set up (12 x ISL99227BF - 6x ISL 6617AF Doublers) . Each rated at 60A so 720amps across the vcore - also Dual 8 Pin for CPU

Lanes are assigned different to other boards so 3x m.2 should be no problem

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £400.49 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Strix E or you'd need the Strix XE as the latter will not hold that 18 core CPU down!!!!!
both have same VRM (useless but better heatsink)

The ASUS ROG Strix X299-XE Gaming uses the same VRM as the non-XE version, only the heatsink is larger, includes a bracket, and a 40x40mm fan to mount on top for additional cooling. The power delivery is driven by ASUS' 8 Phase Digi+ VRM controller (Infineon IR35201) and controls seven 60A Infineon IR3555M MOSFETs along with one smaller Texas Instruments CSD97374Q4M NexFET. Getting power to the VRM is a required 8-pin EPS 12V connector as well as an optional 4-pin EPS 12V.

ATX Format- Designare but costs more. triple raid m.2 support with thunderbolt 3

other option for z390 is going Master and 9900k

12 phases , 50amps each , IR units

like the x299 master, rear backplate and over the top heatsink cooling
