X38 boards due soon?

Just wanted your advise really, was planning on buying a beast of a PC with either of the new p35 boards, received an email from another etailer saying they wont stock one of the Asus p35 boards since there about to be replaced with the X38s at similar prices very soon....

Is there any exact due dates or reasons to wait till september to get one of these ?

I may consider the 9800GTX in November/

Intel's official release date is 9th September.

so i hope x38 boards should pop up after that date.

Gigabyte X38-DQ6 looks great.

Last I heard AMD is coming out with Barcelona on 10 September so Intel decided to pre-empt them by launching X38 early on 9 September.

Because 80% market share obviously isn't enough.

No word yet on features, cooling or just about anything other than a name and the availability will be "early September".

sounds good. if it's under 180, im buying Maximus Fomula
