x58-ud5 not booting from DVD - HELP!!!

Hi all

well I went for i7 920, ud5 and viper. Built up the system and its posts, however, it will not boot from a dvd. I have an old WD SE 16 250GB from my last pc which im ussing till win 7 retail comes out. It has a copy of win xp on it and tries to boot (and fails) from the hdd. The boot order is set to CD-ROM first, but it just wont. The dvd rewriter is the LG G22 if that makes any difference.

Any help is much appreciated!

Taken an IDE DVD-Drive to lukext's and circumvented the issue, it's currently installing as we, er, type?

That's a bit vague. Are you saying the system reboots, blue screens, or simply won't load?

Check your Viper modules are running at the required 1.65v in your BIOS.

edit.. sorry didn't read above post.. What was the problem?

basicaly the system just goes to boot from the hdd not the SATA dvd drive despite the setup in the bios. However, mate came over with an IDE dvd drive, and it works fine with the same boot order.
