X800 Pro vs X1600 Pro

Hi,
Been trying to find benchmarks to see how these 2 cards stack up agaisnt each other.
I'm assuming the X800 Pro is the faster card?

NB this is for an AGP upgrade, to keep me going until the end of the year when I'll build a complete new system.

The x800 cards are generaly better than the x1600's even though the x1600 supports sm3.0.

Yup even the 6600 GT wallops the x1600pro, terrible cards, x800pro is the better.

Just posted a message earlier about what AGP card to buy.

Just been looking on OcUK for AGP cards.

Could buy a sapphire X1600Pro With 512Mb of Ram.
£98.

This is within my budget... How does this card compare with a 9800 Pro?

And is it worth spending the extra £29 to buy the X800 as this thread suggests?

Is the X1600Pro really that bad a card? There is a like 100Mhz difference between the two GPU's at stock. Surely the X800 cant beat the X1600, can it?

theres more to it than speed
the most important factors are speed, memory, pipelines and memory speed really
1600-12 pipelines x800 has 12
but the 1600 has ddr ram, which is bad,

X800, DDR3.
X1600, DD2.

yes, well the X1600 is the new arcitecture, however i bought an X800 over it for my dad and he hasnt complained, tbh the x800 stands up to my 6800GT to some degree

and the fact the x1600 onli have 128 bit bus width where as the x800 have 256.
