Hi guys~

Here's my rig's specs:

AMD Athlon64 3200+ *[email protected] /238
Thermaltake Venus12 CPU Cooler
ASUS K8V SE Deluxe w/ latest BIOS
Kingston PC3200 DDR400 Value RAM 1GB(2x512)
ATI X800Pro 256MB @482MHz/454MHz
Enermax 600W PSU

I'm using OmegaDriver & ATI TrayTools...every time I OC the X800 to 490MHz/460MHz it crashes any games. I was wondering if there's anything I can do to break that barrier...any insights would be appreciated!

That way you unlock the xtra pipelines and get faster clock speeds. Also, you can flash the BIOS to an X800 Pro 16p edition and then clock-its up to you. Bue yeah BIOS flash is the best way :)

What temps are you showing for the card? as I thought pretty much all the recent X800pro's were reasonable OCers. Mine is a Sapphire and is running on a standard cooler (though there is a dual Vantech fan card pointed at it). Runs fine at 540/530, though pulled it back to 520/500 to be conservative. Though I do accept all G/cards are not made equal (so to speak). Been running fine for just over a year now.

PS. Unless it's a vi/vo model, I think you will find the pipes have been laser cut. So little point in considering a Flash in my opinion. Unless that's just the Sapphire cards.

I used to have a X800PRO VIVO and flashed to xt 16p xt then stuck water cooling on it and clocked it to 580core 580mem, though on stock cooling it would only do 500core 500mem.

I have a gigabyte X800pro vivo (16pipes confirmed from ATI tool) and its got a artic cooling but still will not OC at all. Im just running it at stock cos its so lame

You need a pencil and balls.

Once I got round to it my x800 pro would clock between 570-600 on core and memory.

They love volts and are pretty hard to break (using pencil mod that is).

Hi... been busy so sorry taken a while to get back.

Mine runs 32/33C at rest and 56/58C under load (using ATItool) and that's overclocked. SISsandra also agrees with the figures, so I'm assuming they are reasonably accurate.

Could just be that you are unlucky.

Oh I forgot yeah, I used a lot of pencil on the memory and core resisters to increase the voltage to something  It clocked a lot better then (praise the lord for water cooling).

Over rated.

After market air cooler + as5 + ram sinks = Just as good oc's (for the clocks we're talking about anyway).

You could probably get by with just the as5.

Crimsonite.

You say 47C temp. Is this "at rest", or "under load". If "at rest", then I would say that's more than a little hot.

It averages about 45'c~47'c on idle @ 480/455MHz

Can't recall the temp @ stock clocks.

During full load it jumps up to about 49'c~52'c.

I know it is very hot...
