I got golden axe in about 10 minutes, its amazing!

cant wait to play with some one over live doing it co-op!

sonic downloaded in 5 mins or so, is exactly like the original!

Will be getting Golden Axe at some point tonight as well

Why bother, you can get it on one of those 4 game in one plug in joysticks

Just another game you buy of xbla and realise it was better in your memory.

I played through sonic again via the Wii classic console recently and it's still fun - all the sound effects and music, the bosses etc were great.

Definitely have to get this. Loved the version I had on the megadrive with the additional stuff. So much fun!

2 minutes here at 2pm, so where is the HD option?

If they're not improving the graphics then I'll keep downloading the retro stuff to the Wii as its far more convenient.

i used to love golden axe. i just know if i d/l i will be left thinking "why did i ever love this game"

i wont be buying!

Same as everyone else..I'll be avoiding buying these.

Purchased the Megadrive collection for the PSP which was full of old games I remembered as being great but playing them again made me realise how linear and tedious they were!

Does anyone else think it is a joke we have to pay for these accient games? I know they were great games at the time and probably still are great games but we seriously shouldn't have to pay money for them.

I think MS have got this live arcade thing all wrong. Some of the games are 800 points. I know it's only £6.80 but they are crappy old games. They should charge more like £1 for each game.

yep - I refuse to pay £6.80 or whatever for games that have taken minimal work to re-release on live, especially when most of them I could just play on an emulator anyhow.

agreed the only exception that i would pay above a fiver for are ones with a good live multiplayer element eg. SWOS or something

guess some people must be buying them must be the sort of people who have never heard of emulators

Which is illegal, and these old games are still fetching a good few quid on ebay + delivery + ebay get paid.
At least one or two people are paid a salary to get these games to Live and VC, anyone here who works for free please write to Sega and Nintendo, offer your services and we all get cheaper games.
Saying that, a quid off wouldnt do any harm, but apparently Virtual Console is very popular, so they wont.

There are hundreds of people on these forums who easily lose 2 grand depreciation on a car, or spend 100 quid on clothes a week that get binned in 12 months, so 6 quid for an old quality game is nothing whether you can be bothered with emulators or not.
Personally I dont do the flash car and clothes thing anymore, and can't be bothered with emulators, so downloading the odd classic to a current machine offers pretty good value on a rainy day.

I'll easily give 6 quid for sensible soccer and speedball 2 when theyre out, thats a small round of drinks, stay in one night :cool:
