Xbox 360 2 players online on same console, game recomendations

I’ve recently bought an XBOX 360 but mainly game on my PC, as I prefer this. I bought the 360 for me and my girlfriend as she enjoys playing on a 360 with me.

The only game I have is Halo3 she has COD4 and COD5 but you can only play one person at a time online. We both like to play online at the same time as you can in Halo3 as we both have XBOX Live profiles so… What game(s) can we buy where you can both play online at the same time, as this is what we both want from a game from XBOX 360 we would both prefer shooters.

Also does the first gears of war provide this?

Definately Left 4 Dead. Play this all the time with a guest (my brother online). So much fun.. and it isn't a dodgy small split screen, it's a proper half screen split.

Get Castle Crashers from the Live Arcade. You won't be disappointed.

Gears 1 & 2 allow you to both play online afaik.

bomberman is always good for a laugh, think you can even do more then just 2 players on the same machine.

Halo 3 does split screen.

Definetly does 2 think it might do 4

I already have Halo 3 and yes, i know already it does up to 4 players split sceen online.

I will probably tried left 4 dead, looked at some trailers and killing zombies sounds fun. :cool:

I will probably get Gears of War too as that also looks good, thanks for all who have replied and any more ideas keep em coming.

Deffinately GoW2. Great fun and i'd recommend spending the points on getting the new maps (the snow ones) as they're all pretty good maps compared to the standard ones. You should get the flashback mappack code with gow2 if you get it new.
