xbox 360 and Dell 2007WFP using VGA

Not from what i recall. You could buy it and try it out and if does just give it back. I went back to the normal cables from vga because it was annoying have to switch to standard def/HD cables to play some BC games like Halo properly. Widescreen screens dont have the same problem i think.

i have the dell 2007WFP and the 360 is connected via a VGA cable - results are perfect - no problems at all with it - gives a nice high def screen/result for all games

widescreen would make no diff for the older xbox 1 games as they would still see it as been connected via VGA cable.

different monitor, but i get wavy lines when there is a signal going to the VGA and DVI ports on my monitor
so maybe multiple inputs are causing conflict?

All my XBox 1 games work after being updated and switching the resolution to 640*480. Halo2 works at 1366*768.

Yea i know they work at 640x480, but for me it doesn't look as good as my SDTV

same set up here and no problems with any 360 games. Not tried any of the original xbox games.

No problems on mine, with the official VGA cable and a 2007WFP.

I did have to turn down the brightness a bit though, but other than that, I am astoundingly happy with the image quality.

The 360 VGA output does give a wavy interference pattern on the 2007 noticable at high brightness/contrast. There are a couple of threads on this. This is not just restricted to this monitor, but is particularly noticeable if you turn t/c up high with the 2007.

Keep them both below 50 and you will not notice them. This monitor is great for 360 use.

Reason number 1 why you buy decent leads and cables. :)

(To a certain limit, of course, none of this £500 power cable crap)

i don't mind buying the official vga cable but i will be disappointed if it doesn't make any difference.
