xbox 360 external HD-DVD drive remote - on a PC?

i have one of these drives and use it on my PC (no xbox). it or course came with a remote and presubably the sensor is on the drive itself otherwise it would have come with the xbox.

is there anyway to use it on a PC?

The sensor is on the front of the 360 afaik

grrr, then why include it with the drive? shouldnt it be with the xbox itself? :confused:

ah well. any way to get it working on a pc? poss a usb sensor or something?

I have the Microsoft E-home infrared receiver, and it doesn't even work with that . You can however, use the remote that comes with the ehome receiver on the 360. Shame, as i much prefer the 360 remote.

how about a Windows Media Centre remote, would that do? they seem to be pretty decent
