Hi Chaps, Have just unpacked my '360 [hurrah!].

I would like to set it up on my good old CRT monitor.

The monitor has one power cable, and one cable with the "15 pin" female cable which plugs into the back of the PC.

Having un-packed the cables for the '360, it's plainly clear that these are suitable for TV / HDTV's - with the coloured plugs and scart cable.

Can anyone advise me as to how I can connect to the CRT monitor, and what cables / add-ons etc I would need if it was possible?.

Thanks in advance. ;)

Not that hard to get hold of, i still find it unbeleivable that after so many months many high street retailers carry next to no accessories as they are still out of stock. What an utter pollava

I've just looked on a well known auction site and seen what I need, thanks chaps.

:p

Now the wife can watch Holby City in peace...or whatever bilge is on.

Out of interest, what's the likelihood of a high street shop having them in now, or is it safer to use the power of the auction site?

I've seen them instock in town here, at shops I cant mention.

Ebay is fine, but if its an unoffical cable, eg joytech, it sounds like you may need a gender changer for your monitor (is the VGA cable hard wired into your monitor?). The gender changer is included with the official cable.

yea its female to female, i've got my 360 hooked upto a mitsubishi diamond plus 230SB, and have to say it does look good, but coming from a 28" widescreen tv (non-hd) its abit smaller :(
but the graphics do look better.
just a shame i dont have the cash to get a proper 26"+ hdtv.
