guys how much difference will i see on a 50" plasma when connecting through these two different methods?

thanks

Depends how good the plasma screen is?

If its decent and is capable of displaying HD, then the difference should be instantly obvious.

Massive difference, a standard input from RBG on a 50" plasma is going to look a bit pants tbh, HD will be much better however still nowhere near as crisp as say a 32". I know mines on a 46" via HD and its nowhere near as crisp as say the 360 pods in stores purely as the screen is so big.

ok, well py problem is this.

the TV has two HD inputs. one for SKy and one for a DVD player. i know i can get an xbox HD DVD player but i just read a review that said its not great.

how can i make the most use of my 2 HD slots?

Strange, I've only heard good things about the HD-DVD player

The 360 does do a good job of normal DVDs too, so there's no reason you couldn't use that instead of a standalone.

sorry guys, one more question

the tv has : 2x HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) Digital Link for direct connection to HDMI enabled devices

what cable do i need to buy for my xbox to use this?

The 2 options available to the 360 are VGA or component. You might be able to use a vga-DVI converter and then a DVI to HDMI converter, but I have nott seen anyone try this.

Have you not got either VGA or Component on your TV?

What TV do you have?

i think the TV is this one:

i am not sure it has what i need??

/edit its got componant, which cable do i use for that? the standard HD one with all the connectors?

My Dad has this TV IIRC and I believe it has component and VGA. So the standard cable will do what you want.

Red Green Blue go to the Read Green Blue connections on the back. White and Red to white and red (unless you have an amp in which case use an optical cable to that.)

I just bought the official comp lead for my panasonic TH37PE50 and boy is it mind blowing! (beats the RGB scart i bought days before hands down!)

My TV is not even HD ready yet it supports HD which is weird! but i aint complaining!!

You could use a Component switchbox (Selector).Which you can get for about £25 inc P&P...
This way you be able to connect 3 or 4 component devices to one component input on the back of your plasma TV..
