- Rules

- Each game is a first to 2 rounds (best out of 3 rounds)
- You play all other competitors in a 'set' which is first to 3 wins (best out of 5 games)
- Each round is 99 seconds
- Stage selected must be random
- One point is gained for each game you win
- One bonus point is awarded to the winner of the set
- Everyone must choose and stick to 1 character only
- Top 4 players go into a playoff to determine the CHAMP
- Only forum members can join

Winner goes to LOSERS FINAL, Loser goes OUT.

LOSERS FINAL - 1 Set (= first to 2 wins)
Winner goes to GRAND FINALS, Loser goes OUT.

GRAND FINALS - (1 Set = first to 3 wins)
Player from Winners Final needs 1 Set to be crowned CHAMP.
Player from Losers Final needs 2 Sets to be crowned CHAMP.

Sounds interesting, but this is strictly not a one game knockout style tourny.

It is more to give everyone the chance to have a longer session with each other. It has worked well in the previous 2 - the best player won the first league and the second best player won the second league, so its definately working.

The top 4 will go into a playoff this time round and that should make things interesting.

Hi all, been lurking for the past two seasons because I didn't like the points system. Now that it's changed I'm in. I've had games with a couple of you in casuals before, it's gonna be good to get some league matches in.

So tempted to join Artheas on the random select. I think we should have a random select tournament bracket. If anyone thinks it's a good idea I'll set it up.

Hi, the deadline for joining and character selection is 8pm Sunday, then we can start this on Monday hopefully! :)

I think a random select tourny is a great idea, not that I'd have a hope in hell of winning but I would still join for the fun of it. If you decide to run it, sign me up. :)

I think it'll last around 3 weeks so be finished by the new year. If you wanted to join though, you have a full week in which you could probably get all your games in, with each session lasting around 15 mins max I'd guess. If you want in let me know, we'll sort sumit out.

You're in mate. Expect to play most if not all your games during that week you are back! You can use hyvs account just make sure you msg the person before you play to let them know who they are playing against. Most importantly keep an eye on this thread and arrange your games through here, it will make things much easier. Welcome btw! :)

In the other SF thread someone was asking me to post up some vids of our recent games, hope you don't mind? You were basically toying with me with dhalsim :o I did however get some revenge later in landing quite afew demons with Akuma ;)

Seems like quite a few of us have played against overmostheads! Will be interesting to see how our better players cope against his Dhalsim, because I struggled. Videos coming tonight in the SF4 thread!
