Xbox 360 to HDTV

been messing about tonight with my setup between hdmi and vga on my Sony HDTV, I was just wondering what the concensus is around here of which one you find better, Im leaning towards VGA at the moment i think, agee disagree??
 
Hi

I also found VGA to be better on my samsung 46" than via HDMI.
VGA looks more natural to me and does a better job of removing the jaggies in games maybe its because Vga has a slightly softer look to it imo.

Am I old, Mental or both as it's HD all the way with my Sammy + 360. Am proper confused here & can only think you have been trying Crap HD leads.
 
Well the Offical one I got was Crap compared to the one I got from my mates shop, The difference is like chalk & cheese & I likes me cheese. I Honestly can't think of another reason anybody would say that as I ran VGA before I got the HD lead & it sucked the big one.

The VGA port on your tv must be poor then i have tried HDMI and its good but vga just pips its for me on my tv.

Btw im useing official microsoft vga lead.
 
I got a 40 inch 5 series Samsung delivered to my door on Xmas eve I doubt the VGA socket suxs, I also have the Offical Microsft HD lead but that sucks compared to the one I use.
Honestly I can only think & say, What the **** !!!

Unless one is broken and you are getting a corrupted image there should no difference between HDMI leads. They don't work like old analogue cables, either the signal got there or it didn't and if it didn't, then it will ruin the picture (like big square blocky corruption).

As for everyone else and HDMI vs VGA, I can only think it's down to either using a 1366x768 and HDMI only sending a 720/1080 image and so the TV is scaling where VGA is not or that the slight blur/softness you might get from VGA is pleasing on games as it reduces the effect of aliasing.

Have heard & discussed this plenty mate but honestly there is a difference & a Big one between the two leads, No blocks either just a crap picture. Confuses me but I don't care since the lead & picture I use now is Awesome.
 
God knows what it's called right now, I have no head memory, I just went in my mates shop & got the best one he had at Mates rates. :D
Bare in mind people I have just worked a shift & am about to crash, It's about 3 in the morning in my world & I've just done 9 hours hard graft. :(
