Xbox 360 update to offer MKV playback

oh streaming over lan is never a good idea. mkv2vob it into an mpeg2 or something or to a different container type. basically it means i can still play 720p content on my ps3.

This. Takes seconds to convert and doesn't lose any quality.

Have everything streaming from my NAS, and rather than streaming from my pc with all these other things running, made life much easier.

Works for my PS3's and 360

But yes, MKV playback on both consoles would be much appreciated.

I had a look at the MKV converters before but the problem I found was that there is limited options on having this scripted to operate after file was downloaded/unpacked.

Have you found a way of automaticly converting?
