Xbox.com major facelift coming tomorrow

It's not just based on this thread, your whole opinion of the 360 seems one of hate.

The worse looking interface you have ever used? OTT much.

It works just like the XMB on the PS3.

I don't get how people can look at the two and see they are not pretty much identical.

I’ve had a few choice words to say about Sony in the past, I’m just very opinionated and say it as I see it. Sony haven’t escaped my moaning and complaining, just like I think Sony need to start looking at the controller and fix the triggers. Its not good enough that you need to find third party add ons for a controller that is now – what 10 years old to stop your fingers slipping off the triggers.

Like I complained about Sony not including Vibration in the first batches of PS3, its not just biased towards the 360. Each machine seems to have faults, and I firmly think the 360 has a horrid looking dash… Doesn’t stop me from playing the games on it, as after all, its just a games console..

And, I’m grouchy at the moment.. :(

I've had the 360 from Day 1 and presently hate the current dashboard we all use, to the point where it has actually put me off checking DLC's for titles I own. It's just an utter pos to navigate and on occasions rather laggy, to the point where I overshoot the 'tile' I want.

Other then the My Xbox section and it's subsequent tiles, I don't bother checking the other ones because I just find myself overwhelmed with 'crap' that I don't want to really see.

Bring back the 'blades' fs.

The one thing I would like to say about the dash is:

I would like to be able to hide any channel I want. So I can choose to have say just my xbox/friends tabs. Allow me to get rid of the marketplace/video marketplace/music marketplace etc.

this is something i have wanted since the new dashboard was implimented.

Tbh i like both the xbox and ps3 interfaces, they both work for each console.

They aren't at all identical. I do like the new (beta) dashboard, but it is rather cluttered and takes a bit longer to navigate around than the PS3's XMB does. That's largely because MS have spanned the Marketplace across three different menus though, and then added another (Spotlight) for more advertising. The XMB is far less intrusive in that respect.
