couldn't see this elsewhere, but why are MS points and Xbox live cards packaged in huge DVD boxes with plastic wrap around them and all the rest.

surely all this could be reduced to no bigger than a credit card, like with mobile phone pay&go where you buy one card and can top it up or whatever.

i'm not a big enviromentalist or anything but this just seems to be a waste. maybe reducing this waste could result in lower charges for Live and MS Points?

I think you can get them emailed to you off that-famous-auction-site for around (if not less)

Does seem really excessive, but I reuse them, so all is good.

should just do like when u top up ** mobile phone, u get that recipt and a codes on it

and they should let u do it at ** local! make life easier :D

make it free like psn and pc then it eliminates the need for cards

edit* i own a ps3/360/pc so im not being biased

It's perhaps just anti-theft, or maybe just to make it more noticeable on the shelf... maybe both? Wii points cards also come in a Wii game box IIRC.

I dont mind sometimes they have come in handy to replace a damaged box.

Yeap, the Wii points are the same, and with both those having unique coloured boxes they are handy to have. :)

They should set it up like iTunes gift cards, that would be cool. Or so you could go back with the same card and 'charge it up'
