xbox live is this a joke

Do you mean "two" Profiles? Im not being a Nazi, just claryfing.

Also you pay the subscription for "a" profile - why would you want or need 2 online?

It is right and personally I don't see what the issue is?!?

If you buy ONE ticket for a football match, you wouldn't expect to get one free with it so you can take a mate along, would you?

Why would a subscription to the xbox live service different???

If you want two subscriptions, you have to pay double the price...

Seems pretty simple, logical and fair to me!

For two different people though, if all you wanna do is play online then sharing should be an issue and just do that.

If you wanna have your own friends lists, achievements and all that AND play online (as you can have unlimited offline profiles) then you pay for another one

Greed? In what way? £35 is a perfectly reasonable price to pay for the service that is offered by Xbox Live if you ask me.

And what do you expect... To be able to have unlimited profiles per subscripiton???

Where is the business, or even common sense, in that? My local curry house charges £5.20 for a chicken jalfrezi... should I demand a double portion next time just because me and the other half want to share it??? I think Samir might quite rightly tell me to get tae....

Though im liking your examples there are other subscriptions which counter it, e.g Magazines can be shared, Sky, Internet etc.. are shared amound households/appliances

Yeah but think of the money they could lose. Me and you could share a sub. I would certainly share a live card with a mate if I could.

Many games you can log a guest. Like the poster above I dont see the issue, it aint tesco's they dont do two for one offers ;)

Oh i agree with Meeko, shouldnt be shared - meerly saying other subscriptions dont link to a single person thats all

Sky is £10 a month for another box.

Well yes, but then in the same token, the xbox live subscription can be "shared" if only one person wants to use it at a time. Its not as if two people can, realisticly, read a magazine at the same time - i know for one that I get mughty annoyed when people are trying to read stuff over my shoulder!

The Sky/Internet example - well, your buying the subscription for the household, not for one person in it.

I know the arguement will now be thrown back in my face now asking "why isn't the live subscription for the household" and well, I'll debate that when I get back from 5-a-sides. Wonder if they'll let us play for 2 hours tonight seeing as we have 1 extra palyer coming along... ;) :p

Aye but the single box isnt linked to one person is it. But again i agree a second should be paid for :) was just countering the subscription arguement
