Yeah but think of the money they could lose. Me and you could share a sub. I would certainly share a live card with a mate if I could.

Many games you can log a guest. Like the poster above I dont see the issue, it aint tesco's they dont do two for one offers ;)
I'd prefer the sub to be tied to the console but I'm not really bothered.

Out of interest, how do you allow a guest account to play online split screen with a gold account? Does it depend on the game? I've not got a 360 myself, but my neighbours do, and we were trying to get it working for GoW last night, but couldn't. We just used the free month you get with any hotmail addy, but that'll run out after not long, and it seems pointless us all buying gold accounts just to play the odd game with him.
GoW has a homosexual way of getting guests to play on Live. The have to sign in on a very specific menu. Keep an eye at th ebottom of the screen when going through the online multiplayer menu in GoW and you should spot the sign in point.

One thing is for sure; I have no idea how this thread ever got to two pages. It's full of bickering and crap analogies! ;)
1 page ;)
Change your settings to 80 posts per page you pansy!

To the OP: Why the hell would you want two profiles? If you want the 2nd one for someone else, make them buy one :/

Unnecessary comment. Also, their online service isn't in the same league according to every report I've read.

You see, every PS3 thread gets infected with xbox 360 fanboyism its ok. One little light hearted comment in a 360 thread and it all goes to pot.

And like i have said before, if you want to just play multiplayter games, then the PSNetwork is actually better, in that more than 8 people can play an online game :p

Maybe its just me, but £40 for a years subscription doesnt seem like MS are robbing anyone....

What if you are a dad playing, You have 2 kids that want to play. Thats then £120. Then add another 40 for every other member in the house hold that may want to play.

More kids, Another parent, A grand parent, The gerbil.

If there's only one 360, and they both want to have unique usernames for live then i dont see why MS cant do that under one sub.

Not like they can both play simultaneously using 2 x the bandwidth is it?

Then i be a mean dad and tell them to share an account, or i buy them 2 subs instead of that "game" they want instead, or tell them to get a job and buy it themselves.

dont see the problem myself me and my brother share my account when comes to online gaming he doesnt have a problem with it he has his own profile for offline and whenever i buy new came he uses the 48 hour free gold thing you get for it but otherwise uses mine. with games like gow and cod3 u can play split screen with a guest and thats *** we do its not hard. and 35-40 isnt a lot for a yeahs subscription to a quality service like xbl.

just talking to my friend who plays WoW and you have to pay 7-8 pound a month which is around 100 a year and you cant make multiple accounts under that so 40 isnt so bad.
